Another noticeable building, one of the most important contracts of the rich history of PSJ, was approved at the end of November in the Pankrác Plain. During two years of construction, two 104-metre-high towers of the V TOWER building were built here. The investor of the highest purely residential building in the Czech Republic is Luxembourg Investment Group Aceur Investment, with developer tasks being provided by PSJ INVEST.
The luxurious 30-storey V TOWER offers 130 apartments with fantastic views not only of the Prague skyline, but also of Ještěd, Říp or Sněžka. The apartments are available from the fifth floor and above, and their ground plan sizes range from 50 to 400 square meters. The building also houses very luxurious penthouses with their own rooftop pools. Owners of the apartments, who will begin moving in to the building in the spring of 2018, will have available a swimming pool, sauna, steam sauna, fitness room, a massage or yoga room, a club cinema or a golf simulator. They will also surely appreciate the concierge service, non-stop reception and cleaning services. The three underground floors house 254 spacious parking spaces.
The building architect is Radan Hubička. “Upwards, the distance between towers keeps growing, but they also attract each other and are firmly connected in the lower part. This is a masculine and feminine principle. There is an open dialogue - from different viewpoints the two towers collide, one disappears and the other emerges, a void appears and then they will merge again,” says Radan Hubička about his work.
The V TOWER is unique in its complexity and thoughtfulness, and the courageous architecture is combined with countless technical innovations focused on health, comfort and sustainability, thereby creating a building that shifts the boundaries of modern living possibilities in Central Europe. All of the apartments are sunlit and open toward the park surrounding the building. The unique residences are designed to provide the ultimate in comfort and well-being for life, and the top quality of the materials used complements the functionality and elegance of the thoughtful interiors.
Each room has its own bathroom and there is a guest toilet in the apartments, and most of the bedrooms have relatively large walk-in closets. The interior furnishings meet high standards by having wooden floors, floor-to-ceiling doors, large-format natural stone tiles in bathrooms and high-quality carpets. The architect also thought about safety of residents - the all-glass doors to the balcony open by moving away from each other, which means that adults can open them easily, but children up to a certain height and weight cannot. The construction of the railing prevents a view directly underneath, which may be unpleasant for some people, whilst allowing for a view into the distance.
The V TOWER is the first residential project in Europe aspiring to obtain the LEED PLATINUM certificate, which has the strictest environmental, living comfort and operational efficiency requirements.
When designing the building, attention was paid to more than simply the highest quality of the indoor environment. With the use of renewable energy sources, the energy efficiency of heating and cooling will be high. For maximum comfort, all 130 exclusive apartments and studios on the 5th to the 30th floor of the V TOWER apartment building will offer heating and cooling ceilings or radiant heating and cooling. The users of the apartments will above all appreciate the noise-free and no-draught air-conditioning, maintenance-free operation with extended system life and minimal space requirements for technologies. The combination of heat pumps as low-potential heat and cold sources with cooling and heating ceilings significantly reduces energy costs, which means lower operating costs for heating and cooling.
