Further important PSJ’s construction grows in Russia – Commercial Complex in Tambov

9 Aug 2011

In the capital city of the Tambov region, 500 km southeast away from Moscow, PSJ realizes further important construction in the territory of Russia. Since July 2011, there is growing a commercial complex for the investor EKO PROM LIOPECK. Its financial volume reaches €10.5 million. The project is financed by Unicredit Bank in collaboration with the Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation (EGAP).

In the course of twelve months there will be a single-storey hypermarket created with an area of 7932 square meters and two-floor gallery to accommodate an office space and retail stores with a useful area of 5587 square meters. An outdoor car park shall offer 355 parking spots.

“Our construction works have started on an unfinished construction, and its initial phase is focused on an original supporting skeleton. Its composition, combining steel and reinforced concrete, is in poor condition. Thus the skeleton is gradually dismantled, revised and re-installed. At the same time we started working on the extension, specifically on implementation of pilots, footings and columns” said Mr Dušan Szabo, PSJ’s Project Manager.

In addition, the company PSJ has currently three other construction projects underway in Russia.

First is in Ryazan, where the construction of M5 Mall shopping and entertainment center is nearing completion (financial volume € 120 million). Second is near the town of Petrozavodsk, where the largest contract of PSJ’s history is implemented – construction of Kalevala Woodworking OSB Plant on “greenfield land”; its financial volume reaches € 151 million. Finally, PSJ started construction of Megapolis residential complex in Kazan in July this year. Implementation of the complex in Kazan is an initial construction phase of a multifunctional center that will serve for the “Kazan 2013 Summer Universiade”. The value of the first phase of the project reaches almost € 132 million.
