Support
PSJ does not forget to support areas that are in need of help. Being a stable and successful company, PSJ feels its social responsibility, in particular in the region to which it is closely related – Vysočina. The main areas to which PSJ contributes financial resources in the long term are the area of culture and sport; naturally, it remembers charity and community activity as well.
PSJ donates considerable amounts for the development of top as well as junior sports in the region. For several years, the name of PSJ has been connected with the FC VYSOČINA JIHLAVA football team, which also has, among other things, an extensive junior membership base. Financial resources also support the KK PSJ Jihlava bowling team, which won the men's championship in the team competition. In addition, PSJ sponsors TENISCENTRUM in Jihlava and the ice-hockey club Veteran Ledeč nad Sázavou. For the second year now, PSJ has connected its name with the Czech Republic's largest tennis tournament, ECM Prague Open.
In the field of culture, PSJ has been cooperating over the long term with DKO in Jihlava, the Holidays in Telč festival, the Anvils of Brtnice international meeting of art metalworkers and the Jihlava civic association Miners' Procession.
PSJ regularly donates finances to charity and community projects. For several years, it has been contributing to the Foundation of Jindřich and Ička Waldez; it supports the Children's Centre in Jihlava and other institutions and organizations in need.
Being a member of the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic, PSJ has been actively involved in various activities focused on support of the business sector. In its position as a member of the Association of Construction Entrepreneurs and within its activities in expert groups, PSJ cooperates on processes of the economic, legislative and social-ethical environment in order to improve conditions of running a business in the construction industry.
PSJ also pays attention to the ecological aspects of its business. It has a certificate confirming that it has implemented and systematically maintained the environmental management system according to the standard ČSN EN ISO 14001:2005.
Hotel
The centre of activities is located in the Gustav Mahler Hotel in Jihlava. The premises of the whole complex (reconstructed by the Company) offer, in addition to the usual hotel services, many other opportunities. Such opportunities include frequent concerts of various genres, specialised conferences and seminars that meet with wide public acceptance. Exhibitions, meetings and discussion groups with personalities from the arts and cultural life have been popular as well.
